May 18th: Regional Beach Volleyball Championships Cancelled
The volleyball matches that were to be held in Belize will be postponed due to violence in Guatemala. The roads that teams from Guatemala, Nicaragua, Honduras and El Salvador have been deemed too unsafe to travel.

May 18th: United Belize Advocacy Movement (UNIBAM) Court Case Update
Last week it was reported that United Belize Advocacy Movement (UNIBAM) filed a court case seeking to have section fifty-three of the criminal code declared as unconstitutional. The section reads that “carnal intercourse against the order of nature” is punishable by imprisonment of up to ten years. Some new players have joined the battle.
