The market is flooded with onions and forcing local producers to sell below their production costs. Many of those producers are blaming the Belize Marketing and Development Corporation.

Last month Marcel Cardona made waves with his surprising speech in the House of Representatives. The UDP called for his resignation and now Cardona states he wants nothing to do with the UDP.

April 20th: A Weather System in April?
The National Hurricane Center in Miami issued a special Tropical Weather Outlook this afternoon. The Center says a low pressure area 460 miles northeast of San Juan, Puerto Rico has a 20% chance of forming into a tropical cyclone.
April 21st: Belize Wins 3rd Place in ICC Americas Div. II Cricket
Belize wins third place in the International Cricket Confederation Americas Division held in Suriname last week. They secured their placing by winning three of their matches.
April 21st: US Registered Sex Offender Found in Corozal
Making him the third registered sex offender from the US found in Corozal District over the past four months, David Harley McLain was arrested by US authorities as he arrived in Houston.
April 21st: Riders Prepare for Cycling Classic
Riders of the 83rd Cross Country paraded through the City streets. The race will take place on Saturday starting at Belize City. Riders will race from Belize City to San Ignacio and back, covering over 140 miles.
April 21st: Easter Weekend Preparations
All of Belize is preparing for Easter Weekend. This weekend means traveling for a lot of Belizeans; to a neighboring village, town or country. It’s a busy weekend for everyone.
